The Saloon vs Applebee's

Had a chance join some friends for some spirits last night. After a great dinner at the Hide-a-way, http://hideawaypubandeatery.com/ excellent Fish Fry, we went to Applebee's for drink. Called some friends to meet at the The Saloon. $5 got us pitcher of beer and a Margarita. A word about that Margarita. First of all the Saloon is a shot and beer tavern. Margartia receipe Tequila, Lime Juice, and White Soda. Let's go to Applebee's for some food. First, the Margarita was $5 alone, Spotted Cow $4.75, Honey Wiese $3.75, Miller Lite $3.00, night out with friends "Priceless".

Saloons come by many names... Saloons are named after something or someone such as Matty's. Some have a catchy name such as Hide-a-way. Others are you popular chains that are known around the US and sometimes the world. What is most important in a Saloon name is not really the name but the people in the saloon. Certainly, a saloon name has to be memoriable. So, a name like "the Saloon" or "the Bar" could be any corner pub. There is a bar named BMF, no don't good there, it is short for Big Mouth Frog not sure where that name came from. My suggestion for a name is to look at your personality of the saloon, the answer is in saloon. If it were my bar I might look at names such as:
-My Place
-My Hot Babes
-My Dirty Laundry
-My Town My Bar
-My Fun Saloon
I should mention, if you name a bar saloon you should have swinging doors.
