New Year, New You Assessment

Work provided a free assessment for me today to help jump start the 2011 year season.  Setting some tough goals for 2011 to continue my working to being a healthy man at age 50.  Assessment went well and kinda got me motivated again to keep track of what I am eating and my activities.  Installed an application on the iPod to help track the food intake called "lose it".   Target intake is currently set at about 2000 calories per day that is 500 calories under my assessed weight and height.  Time to get busy before my golf field trip.

60 days on the Wii

Christmas was good to us this year.  Josh purchased a Wii for everyone to have fun with this year.  His job and drive to be successful has provided him with some disposible income.  Thanks Josh!   Linda & I ran out after Christmas to purchase the Wii Fit Board and Wii Fit Plus.  It motived me to get up everyday to check my progess.  The Wii graphically show me as Obese, ouch!   An all time high of 227 was not good, yuck.  Today, I prepare to get ready for a golf trip with friends in less than 20 days.  After that purchase on December 30, 2009, it has been 60 consequetive days for fun workouts and weigh-ins.  I will continue to check my weight daily to keep an eye on it.  I will be out of town for 5 day that will break my consequetive day streak.  Nonetheless, I continue to move the graph line down under that Obese line, now just plain overweight (210).  Watching what I eat; walking about one hour a day; and playing some of the fun games is keeping me motived so far.  Thanks Josh and Linda for all your support!   Love you.

Merry Christmas to all!

It is a blustery day in Wisconsin.  Rained all night, hope Santa had good wiper blades.  My gife list has been updated after a very nice morning opening gifts with the family.  We even had Tomahawk join us this year.  It is nice when a family continues to grow and mature.   I am excited for my monitor stand, my external hard drive, and my cool golf club labels (just in case, I leave one sitting someplace).  Let the practice begin to prepare for the field trip in March.  Putting nightly, chipping every other day, and perhaps a day at the dome hitting golf balls with friends and fellow golfing buddies.

Special thank you to my son Joshua for help make Christmas the best.  Special yell out to my other son Lucas playing XBOX with his new headphones and checking out the Internet on his new monitor (I am jealous).  Tomahawk was a fun addition to our Christmas morning fun, thanks for hanging out with us.   My wife Linda was excited about her new video picture frame and Mom necklace.
